Khan Jahan Dighi is located on the southern side of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (Rh)’s Shrine occupying about 200 bighas of land. Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (Rh) released a few crocodiles in this dighi. Two large-sized crocodiles named 'Kala Pahar' and 'Dhala Pahar' were very famous in Khan Jahan dighi. But they died later. Some sweet water crocodiles were also released in the dighi. People coming to visit the shrine feed the crocodiles with ducks, hens, sheep, and goats. Dighi's main ramp is spacious and beautiful. There are separate ramps for the women. This dighi is also called the Thakur Dighi.

There are different legends about the naming of Khan Jahan Dighi. Some people say, as the statue of Buddha Thakur is found here, the dighi is named "Thakur Dighi". Some others say that the local Hindus used to call Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (Rh) "Thakur" to horror him. As the dighi was excavated by the special supervision of Khan Jahan Ali, they named the dighi Thakur Dighi to honor Khan Jahan Ali (Rh). Some others also say that Ali Mohammad Taher Khan was the beloved friend of Khan Jahan Ali. He was previously a Brahmin Hindu and his name was Shri Govinda Lal Roy.
