Tourist Attractions in Jessore
Jessore is located on the southwestern border of Bangladesh under the Khulna division. India's West Bengal state is situated on the west of Jessore. It is bounded by the Jhenaidah, Magura, Satkhira, Khulna, and Narail districts.
Based on the establishment date, Jessore is the oldest district in Bangladesh. Created about 200 years ago in 1786, this district is one of the most notable districts of the country for its history, culture, and economy.
In 1863 Satkhira of Jessore was added to Chabbish Pargana district. Twenty years later, in 1881, the Khulna sub-district was upgraded to the district by breaking Jessore again.
From 1876 to 1984 Jessore went through several reconstruction and reformation processes. In 1984, the Government of Bangladesh reorganized the district for administrative development. As a result, four subdivisions of the district have been transformed into four distinct districts. Those are Narail, Magura, Jhenaidah, and Jessore.
This district is full of liveliness. It is an ideal place to travel around. Jessore District is not like other tourist spots in Bangladesh. In this district, the visitors can see the reflection of vibrant and energetic Bangladesh.
Apart from the dynamic environment, there are some other attractions in Jessore. There are some establishments found in the colonial era, in which the massive courthouse building is notable. Besides, there are several picnic spots and entertainment centers located in this district.

Haji Muhammad Muhsin Imambara: Murali Imambara, about 300 years old, is located in Ramnagar Union. It was built by Haji Muhammad Muhsin.
Memorial of Michael Madhusudan Dutta: Michael Madhusudan Dutta was a famous poet of Bangladesh. He is the first creator of the sonnet in Bengali poetry. There is also a museum located inside the memorial complex.
