Kuakata Sea Beach, also referred to as "Sagor Kannya" (Daughter of the Sea), is a popular tourist destination located on the southernmost tip of Bangladesh, in Patuakhali District. This beach paradise boasts a long stretch of sandy shores, measuring approximately 18 kilometers (11 mi) in length and 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) in width.

The beach's serene ambiance and breathtaking natural beauty are its main draws. Imagine a vast expanse of golden sand meeting the Bay of Bengal's azure waters, creating a postcard-perfect scene. One of Kuakata's unique features is the opportunity to witness both sunrise and sunset over the same beach.

Apart from swimming and sunbathing, visitors can partake in various activities like horseback riding along the shore, exploring nearby mangroves by boat, or indulging in fresh seafood delicacies served by local vendors. Kuakata also holds religious significance for Hindu and Buddhist communities, with pilgrims flocking to the beach during festivals like Rush Purnima and Maghi Purnima.

    This is the only beach in Bangladesh from where you can watch both sunrise and sunset on the sea. I visited this place back in 2003. Although a great tourist spot, I believe this place needs more maintenance.
