Puthia Rajbari Complex is located thirty kilometers east of Rajshahi City and just one kilometer south of the Rajshahi-Natore highway. The Puthiya Rajbari is more preserved than the other palaces in Bangladesh. It is fairly protected and decorated with sophisticated architecture. That’s why the Rajbari has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bangladesh.

The Puthia Rajbari is a gorgeous building. It is a double-storied rectangular-shaped building on the south side of Puthia Bazar. The main entrance of the palace is located on the north side. The zamindars or kings used to manage their royal activities from here. In the Rajbari, there was a prison for the guilty people with the arrangement of punishment for them. The influence of interesting Indo-European architectural styles is noticed on the front side of the palace. There was a water reservoir around the rajbari for its safety. It was built in the nineteenth century by the family members of the then-zamindars. Although this archaeological site has been taken under the control of the Archaeological Department of Bangladesh, it is currently being used as Loshkorpur Degree College.

Puthia Rajbari is surrounded by the trenches. Now the trenches are known by different names like Shiv Sarobar or Shib Shagar, Gopal Chouki, Beki Chouki, Govinda Sarobar, and Marachouki. Besides, there is a large pond named Shyamsagar in the middle of Rajbari area. The total land area of this Rajbari is 25.93 acres. In Puthia Rajbari and its surroundings, there are many temples built by the zamindars of this place still standing high on the head.
