At the border of India-Bangladesh, in Meghalaya's lap, there is an incredibly beautiful village - Pantumai (or also spelled as Pangthumai). It is a village of West Jaflong Union at Gowainghat upazila in Sylhet district. The Meghalaya hill is on the back side of the village and it is on the banks of the Piyain River.

The village is probably one of the most beautiful villages in Bangladesh. A nice waterfall named Pantumai Waterfall is near this village. Its local name is Fatachori Waterfall, but well known to us as Pantumai / Panthamai Waterfall. Some people also call it Barahil waterfalls. Although the fountain falls in India, it is very close to the Pian river bank. So, the beauty of the waterfall can easily be enjoyed from Bangladesh. BSF camp is next to the border of India-Bangladesh. There is no BGB patrol in Bangladesh part. So it is unsafe to go near the border.

The white water that comes down from the high makes an awesome melody. You must be amazed by the flow of the waterfall and the heavenly hill. Standing on the borders of Bangladesh, you can enjoy all the scenic beauty of Pantuamai Waterfall. You may take a bath also in the water coming down through the waterfall. The eye-catching beauty of the waterfall attracts tourists so much that many tourists come here every day to enjoy the beauty of nature.
